Bone grafting is use to build up the jawbone in order to adapt to a restorative dental device such as a dental implant.
Bone grafting is generally done following a periodontal procedure such as dental implant. These restorative procedures sometimes require changes to the jawbone in order to better accommodate the restoration process.
In most cases, the bone used for grafting will be taken from the patient. The bone may be taken from another area of your mouth if drilling is done. The dentist will suction bone fragment from the mouth, and use them for grafting.
In some circumstances, we may use cadaver bone fragments instead. These are obtained from a bone bank, and are very safe to use.
We offer bone grafting in Kingstowne and surrounding areas for our valued patients. Contact us to schedule an appointment today.
